A DAUGHTER EVER ON THE ALTAR

The Chicago Area Fisk University Alumni Association, Inc., along with the entire Fisk Family, mourns the passing of Dr. Gwindelle W. Ponder, Class of 1948. 

Gwindelle loved Fisk University & supported alumni activities wholeheartedly.  She was always generous with her time while serving on the following committees:  Executive, Scholarship, Membership, Fundraising, & Silent Auctions.  Dr. Ponder served as Chairperson of the Scholarship & Recruitment Committee for several years and as Vice President of the CAFUAA.  The memory of Gwindelle W. Ponder will be kept alive by her fellow alumni.

We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Gwindelle’s daughter Anita J. Ponder, Esq., Fisk University Class of 1979, and her two sons, Dr. Alvin F. Ponder, III & Mr. Darryl D. Ponder.
